Where all of this comes from.
Nagrik does not produce data. It collects the records Pune’s civic bodies already publish — tenders, ward boundaries, officers’ directories — and puts them on one map. Everything below is a public record. This page says exactly which one, and what to do when we get something wrong.
What we take, and from where
- Pune Municipal Corporation
PMC officials and department heads
The directory's public webadmin.pmc.gov.in JSON API. Conflicting source postings remain labelled in the directory and are excluded from issue-contact recommendations. Administrative ward offices and electoral prabhags are separate systems.

Fifteen administrative offices serve 41 prabhags across five DMC zones. Published membership gives contact jurisdiction, without implying a boundary polygon.

The corporation's department pages publish named heads, telephone numbers and email addresses in Marathi.

PCMC regional-office contacts and prabhag composition
Ten regional-office sections cover 32 numbered prabhags. These are independent of PMC's ward numbering.
- Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority
Regional development authority officers and office contacts
PMRDA is a shared regional authority whose jurisdiction extends beyond PMC and PCMC. Its offices do not have municipal prabhag numbers.

PMC, PCMC and PMPML tenders, status history and published award details
Open municipal listings refresh nightly. Historical status and award searches from 2026 use a supervised CAPTCHA session. PMPML is a distinct operator inside PMC's procurement tree and retains its own agency identity. A tender value is an estimate; only a published award value is an award.

Supervised searches use the exact PMRDA, Pune SRA and Pune Smart City organisation nodes. PMRDA's region extends beyond PMC and PCMC. No 2026 Smart City tender appeared in the captured status search; zero collected records does not mean zero civic responsibility.

Supervised 2026 searches validate the exact Pune Circle, Pune Housing Board and Pune Zone procurement chains, then the work's own description and location. Regional corridors, cantonments, property sales and unresolved locations are withheld. MSRDC was checked with no municipal work established in the reviewed feed.

MSEDCL urban-unit service tenders and public document links
Published descriptions establish the service unit. Costs are converted from the portal's rupees-in-lakhs unit; dates and contacts retain source wording. This latest-register snapshot supplies no award evidence and is not a full historical lifecycle. Utility service areas differ from municipal wards.

Current-year submission notices, including archived bidding windows, are deduplicated by tender reference. These are listing records: PDF budgets, contractors and awards have not been collected. The site's separate duplicated award tables are excluded.

PMC elected members — all seats in 41 prabhags
The English and Marathi lists reconcile by prabhag and seat: 165 members, including five in prabhag 38. This list publishes no member phone or email, so those contacts remain unavailable.

PCMC elected members, phones and official email addresses
The current 32-prabhag directory and all 128 linked member pages. Every member retains a separate seat identity and Marathi name. Where index and detail pages publish different phones, both are retained.

The final 2025 41-ward boundary file, credited to Parisar and published under Public Domain. This is a secondary boundary source, explicitly distinguished from the official contact and election lists.

The official final map supplies all 32 ward boundaries, cross-checked against all 32 ward-specific maps. Separate parts of wards 4 and 26 are preserved. The public City GIS retains different boundaries and is not used for ward resolution.

Bus and metro contacts and helplines
Published transport contacts serve both municipal bodies. Depot and operator roles are retained; they are not assigned to electoral wards.

Urban electricity and district-office contacts
Pune Zone, Ganeshkhind Urban and Rastapeth Urban electricity officers; the published Collector-office contact table. These service jurisdictions differ from municipal prabhags.

Police station and commissionerate contacts
The public directories retain the police station or commissionerate role. Police jurisdictions include surrounding areas and are not inferred from municipal ward boundaries.

Locality search and base map
A reviewed OSM place extract is clipped to the collected PMC/PCMC ward polygons, alongside PMC ward names. PCMC's official regional-office table adds neighbourhood-to-prabhag membership without invented coordinates. Base tiles use OpenFreeMap. OpenStreetMap data is licensed under the ODbL.
Civic responsibility and coverage
Several bodies work across Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad. Responsibility depends on the asset and its jurisdiction. This register distinguishes collected records from verified bodies whose tenders are still outside the corpus.
- PMC and PCMC
Local roads, water distribution, drainage, waste, streetlights and municipal facilities inside their respective boundaries.
Municipal tenders, officials, councillors, wards and helplines collected separately.
- PMRDA
Regional planning, roads, infrastructure and Metro Line 3; jurisdiction extends beyond the two corporations.
Regional tender records and officer directory collected. A regional tender is not automatically a ward project.
- PMPML
Shared public buses, depots, bus shelters and operator infrastructure.
Its exact procurement branch is attributed to PMPML; transport contacts and helplines are collected.
- Maha Metro
Pune Metro construction, stations, operations and maintenance.
Submission notices and document links collected; detailed PDF values and award tables excluded.
- Pune SRA
Slum rehabilitation in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, separate from Mumbai SRA.
Current-year status and available detail records collected under its own publisher identity.
- Pune Smart City (PSCDCL)
Smart-city project and service procurement.
Its dedicated status node was checked; the captured search contained no 2026 tender records.
- MSEDCL
Electricity distribution, substations, cables and service connections; this differs from municipal streetlight ownership.
Urban-unit contacts and locally scoped works collected from its separate public e-tender register, including full descriptions, costs, dates and published contacts.
- Maharashtra PWD
State roads, bridges and government buildings. Pune Region also includes other districts.
Pune Circle's 2026 lifecycle feed collected. Only works with verified municipal locations are included; cantonment, rural and ambiguous road packages are withheld.
- MHADA · Pune Board
Housing and area-development projects; the board serves several districts.
Pune Board's 2026 NIC feed collected and scoped from full work detail. Property sales, other districts and ambiguous sites are withheld; corrigenda are not counted as separate works.
- MIDC
Industrial-estate infrastructure and water services, including Pimpri Chinchwad industrial areas.
Pune Zone's 2026 NIC feed collected. Verified Pimpri Chinchwad industrial-estate works are included; Chakan, Talegaon, Ranjangaon and other areas are withheld.
- MSRDC
Assigned major road projects, including the Pune Ring Road and Mumbai–Pune Expressway.
The 2026 NIC feed has been checked: no reviewed record established a work within the PMC/PCMC surface. Regional corridors and statewide procurement are withheld; feed coverage does not imply a local work.
- NHAI
National highway projects through the Pune area; responsibility depends on the road package.
PIU Pune verified; national tender records are not yet collected for this surface.
- Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran
Assigned water-supply and sewerage schemes; its Pune Region includes rural areas and other districts.
Responsibility verified; no blanket attribution of regional schemes to PMC or PCMC.
Former PCNTDA functions were transferred to PMRDA and PCMC in 2021. It is not treated as a current tender publisher. Cantonment areas have separate administrations and remain outside this municipal ward surface.
How current it is
- Municipal officers, PMC election results and open tenders refresh nightly; other contact and boundary sources refresh weekly.
- Historical municipal, transport, regional and state-agency tender status and award refreshes require a supervised CAPTCHA session. Pune Metro and MSEDCL registers use explicit refreshes. Unreadable or unpublished details remain unavailable.
- Every elected seat is shown separately. PMC does not publish member contacts in its winning-candidate list; PCMC publishes member phones and emails.
What we will not do
We never invent a record to fill a gap. Where an authority does not publish something — a councillor’s phone number, a ward’s zone — Nagrik shows nothing rather than a plausible guess. A blank means the government has not published it, not that we forgot to look.
Officials’ contact details
Nagrik republishes the names, designations, office phone numbers and official email addresses that these bodies already publish in their own public directories. These are official points of contact for public duties, reproduced so a resident can reach the person accountable for their ward. No personal or private contact information is collected, inferred, or shown. If you are named here and want your entry corrected or removed, write to us.
Get something corrected
Wrong number, wrong ward, wrong name, a work attributed to the wrong agency — tell us and we will fix it, or explain why the record says what it says.
